The new scoping for the MGAR directory will include parts of ten counties in Middle Georgia including: Monroe, Jones, Bibb, Crawford, Twiggs, Houston, Peach, Bleckley, Dooly and Pulaski. This new footprint is now the largest independent publisher footprint in Middle Georgia providing advertisers access to the same coverage area currently covered by no less than ten other phone books. It's now easy to deal with ONE book, ONE advertising program, and ONE rate. Saia has rates nearly half as much as the major utility rate cards depending on the ad size and the location of the advertiser's business.

Middle Georgia Directory "On the Presses"

Oct. 17th 2007 Opelika, Alabama

Saia Publishing Company announced today that the Middle Georgia Directory is now "on the presses" at Fry Communications in Mechanicsville, PA. This is an exciting time for Saia and Middle Georgia as this new LARGE PRINT DIRECTORY has finally been inked and the first copies are now expected to arrive in Warner Robins by Friday Oct. 19th if all goes well, reported Steve J. Saia, Founder and CEO of Saia Publishing Company.

This is the first ever Saia LARGE PRINT directory in Middle Georgia and mirrors the print size and style that made the Saia directories such a success in South Carolina. We expect the good people of Georgia to warmly recieve the new LARGE PRINT directory which will circulate over 129,000 copies in a five county area including the entire metro area of Warner Robins, Centerville, Byron, Ft. Valley, Hawkinsville, Perry and other rural areas never before served by a single directory with such comfortable size print, community pages sections, new residents guide, restaurant menus, government pages and so much more.

Mr. Saia went on to say that this project was made possible by the enduring patience and support of the local advertisers that made up what he called the "Charter Members" of his directory. These are the local businesses that stepped up to the plate and stuck with Saia throughout the long and sometimes difficult tasks of launching a new directory in a market dominated by the old "squint print" directory publishers.

Saia continued by stating that the Middle Georgia LARGE PRINT directory will be supported electronically by a  state of the art online directory which will follow on in approximately four to six weeks. The electronic directory will be a "real time" directory which will allow advertisers to make changes in their listing information without waiting for the next PRINT directory to arrive. We will soon be announcing the availability of having the Middle Georgia directory available on cellphones, Steve Saia said.

Talking Phone Book aquires Saia Large Print Lakelands and Newberry Directories in South Carolina

Hello Lakelands,

I am excited to announce that SAIA and the Talking Phone Book have completed negotiations resulting in the acquisition of the SAIA LARGE PRINT – Lakelands Edition and the SAIA Large Print Newberry Edition telephone directories in South Carolina.

I want to thank each and every business owner and all the residents of the Lakelands and Newberry area for the support and loyalty that made SAIA a success. It is with a humble heart that I remind the market that SAIA accomplished its goal of bringing a quality product with truly competitive FAIR pricing to these areas.

The Talking Phone Book is a very strong and very competitive independent publisher with 11 titles in SC. The SAIA LARGE PRINT – Lakelands and Newberry directories will continue to publish on the existing schedules and every home and business will receive the directories without disruption. Distribution for the Lakelands market will begin in the latter part of May and should take three to four weeks with directories mailed to the rural areas and hand delivered to the rest.

The new manager for the SAIA / Talking Phone Book is Joe Tidwell, a long time local resident of Ninety Six. Joe is very excited about bringing the same level of quality and fair pricing that SAIA has successfully demonstrated for the Lakelands and Newberry markets. Joe will report to another local Greenwood native, Michael Brown who is currently the Directory Manager over the Greenville, Anderson, Spartanburg and Seneca markets. Michael went to school right here in Greenwood. Both Michael and Joe are local folk with a passion for producing a great directory for both Lakelands businesses and every resident who enjoys the Saia Large Print format.

Saia is pleased to announce that many of its local sales and management team will remain with the Talking Phone Book including Jessica McClain who will continue as the company’s Sales Assistant in the local Greenwood office. When you call with a question Jessica’s will be the same familiar voice on the other end of the phone.

The offices for the Saia / Talking Phone book remain located at 1408 Hwy 72 W in Greenwood.

Sincerely,
